I bought a Celeron 466 less than a year ago and am now thinking of upgrading again.

I have a MSI 6163 version 1 mobo with the slotket adapter to use the PPGA Celeron.

I don't know what cpu's the mobo will support cause I haven't been to site lately.

I don't want to have to buy another mobo and I really can't O/C the cpu because with the 6163 mobo that I have I can't change agp ratios. When I o/c it messes up my GeForce DDR video card.

any suggestions?, I am just considering upgrading so that my cpu will at least keep up with my GeForce a little better. More power never hurts and I see they have new Celeron 2's now....

thanks!

1eyed,

Did you see my post on the CelII 566... 850MHz right outta the box, can and will do higher, but Im awaiting a better HS&F. I would definetly recommend one of these puppies http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

www.allstarshop.com (http://www.allstarshop.com) has the 533 fcpga celeron II and the 566 fcpga celeron II for even cheaper..............plus you will maybe need a slocket card.........they have them for a descent bit cheaper then azzo does

I would suggest the 533......but make sure you get the FCPGA kind...the ppga kind will not OC worth a poop.................and I would recommend that you get the abit slocket...........of if you can find it cheap elsewhere get the MSI master slocket...I have heard that you should try to get the same slocket brand as your MB is for best results..........oh yea...you do need the newere coppermine compatible slocket to work.........
