I know the peltier does by itself, but since the water cooler would be inbetween the two, would it prevent the temperature difference from creating condensation on the CPU?

Szech 04-22-2000, 01:23 AM I know the peltier does by itself, but since the water cooler would be inbetween the two, would it prevent the temperature difference from creating condensation on the CPU? sprayer 04-22-2000, 02:25 AM i dont know if im 100% accurate but it is my understanding that the water block goes on top of the peltier the water cools the peltier not the cpu chip if i am wrong i am sorry but this post is my understanding scotter 04-22-2000, 02:32 AM you can do it both ways, put the pelter on the chip and cool the hot side with water. or put the water on the chip and use the pelter to cool the water if you do it this way you can control the temps a little better and if you wanted keep the temp just above ambiant so you would not have to worry about condensation plus it's a lot safer because if the pelter goes bad your not going to over heat the chip as fast just my .02 cents worth lol http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif CMonster 04-22-2000, 04:33 AM If you go below the ambiant temperature (i.e. below room temp)you are likely to get condensation. How much condensation depends on the humidity level and how far below ambiant temp you go. Szech 04-22-2000, 03:10 PM Whoops, I meant with the water cooler on the CPU, and the peltier on the water cooler. That would make the temperatures more consistent? Would idle kill the CPU then?
