The 98 zip utility can't make self extractors but it can create normal ziped folders etc and it's a lot more intergrated into the operating system than winzip. Hurt_Me_Not 04-18-1999, 12:10 AM ok i installed winzip and then uninstalled it. How do i get the standard win 98 zip utility back? augidog 04-18-1999, 12:10 AM your shareware version is fully functional, and will never expire. btw-i really don't know about an included zip utility in '98...clue me in. augidog CMonster 04-18-1999, 03:25 AM Buy "Zip Magic" and you will be glad you did! ridefree 04-21-1999, 06:40 AM Ditto what CMonster said. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif socalgal 04-21-1999, 08:53 PM AugiDog is right, i had winzip (forget what version)on win95 for over 1.5 years, fully functional, never expired. Great utility, IMO. Von 04-22-1999, 06:06 AM There is a built in zip ultility to win98. I works ok and runs like the standard explorer interface, but the functionality of it doesnt touch winzip. As far as how to get it back after installing winzip...got me.
