just saw a comercial here in san diego from Gateway advertising a gateway system with the 600mhz athlon whats up thought they were only using Intel chips now LOL http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Old news! They put up an athlon page in december, the register saw it, linked, then it got taken down. They've had athlons for sale on their site all last month.

Actually, if you go to www.gateway.com (http://www.gateway.com) you'll still see 600mhz, 700mhz, and 800mhz Athlon systems right there on there front page (of course you gotta click to get details).

My friend just got a 600Mhz Athlon from Gateway for the price of a identical 550 PIII. Gateway could definatly offer more choices tho, at this model the best video card he could get was a V3 3000.
