Pretty sure you would only be able to see 2 Gb with that operating system, without using "additional software" as you say.

Windows 98 SE blows away the HD size limitations, for all practical purposes (until they get outlandishly large, which probably won't be too long, you know : ) ).

yes im afraid you would need WIN4.00.950 B version or above to run a bigger disk than 2gb.

I have a 486 133mh Computer and using Win95 Ver. 4.00.950

Processor type is 80486DX
CPU is AMX86-P75-8-133
ROM PCI/ISA BIOS (2A4X5B08
BIOS Version: Award Modular BIOS v4.50PG
Machine Type: IBM PC/AT

Would like to know how large HD could be installed in it with or without additional software.

And would using Win98 Upgrade make any difference.

Not sure if that's enough info for anyone to determine... but will be glad to add more if someone in interested.
