I have a amd-2/350 and i tried to over clock my chip to 400 once by moving the jumper on my motherboard to set it to 400... it worked but when ever i went to play any kinda games the graphics were messed up.. what did i do wrong and how can i overclock my cpu the right way to the max mhz... i have a Dimond monster fushion voodoo banshee 16mb video card.. thanks!!

Ya might wanna try to up the voltage by 0.1V.

It should run stabile then.

If it still doesn't, try other combo's of multiplier and FSB.
For example, you could first try 4 x 95, which would give you ca. 380Mhz.
Or try the 3.5 x 105, which should also do the trick.
For this little of a speed increase, you will probably won't have to up the voltage.

But remember, don't up the voltage too much, or you'll fry your chip.

Howdy: I successfully o'cd my 350 to 400. I did absolutley nothing but set the jumpers for a 400. But you might try tweaking settings in your CMOS--perhaps Video Cache or Shadow.
My system runs BOOTIFUL

I have a k6-2-350 that i've gotten overclocked to 473. here is a list of my settings for you to look at:
clock=voltage=fsb speed=multiplier=io voltage
350=2.2=100=3.5=3.5(lowest setting)
400=2.2=100=4=3.5
450=2.7=100=4.5=3.6
475=3.1=95=5=3.6
473=3.1=105=4.5=3.6 (CURRENT)
the specs for the thing are
k6-2-350 100mhz bus, 2.2v, 3.3iov, 3.5multiply, and standard heatsink(still using it at 3.1 volts but have a gamma 28 blower fan
this may help you so keep trying the only reason i got crappy graphics was the i/o voltage was too low

Don't go over 2.7v without very good cooling http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif. Did my Dad's 350@400 (100x4) and it needs 2.7v to be 100% stable.
