I need alittle help with finding voltage settings for processors, i have about 10 486 processors and they range from SX to DX2 and 50mhz to 66mhz. What im looking for is a site to help with the voltage setings. Dose anyone know of such a place.
Thanks
Charles

As far as I remember, all 486 cpu's below a DX/4-100 used 5v, the DX/4-100 used 3.3v.

All Intel chips below a DX4/100Mhz are 5 volts. AMD, Cyrix, TI, ST, and others may be 5 volts or 3.3 volts. Usually, on the top of the chip 3.3v will be written in these cases.

Actually, it's a bit more complicated.
Intel also made 3V DX2 types. DX4 however never came in 5V, with the exception of the DX4-100 Overdrive (and that one is easily recognized).
AMD also had 5V and 3V DX2 and DX4, while the DX5 (formerly known as 5x86) always is 3V.
The easiest way to find out is to measure the VOLDET pin S4 and see if its "Not Connected". If so, it's a 5V unit. 3V parts connect VOLDET to Vss (ground) to notify the mainboard of the 3V requirement.
Or just use a 3V capable mainboard, plug them in one after the other, and measure the voltage on the CPU socket.
