Just a quick question.

Overall, which gets more hot? A Slot 1 processor or something like a Socket 7 Processor? PPGA Can be considered.

Assuming that the CPU cores are the same, and the voltages used are also the same, as well as all other relevant settings (FSB, etc.) I'd guess that the slot1 CPU could run cooler, but only marginally.

Reason being that you can cool a Slot1 CPU from both the front and back sides. It also seems that you can (under normal circumstances) fit a larger heat-sync and dual fan combo on a Slot1.
