Hi there,

I just intalled a standard 10mm fan on my banshee's heatsink. How high can I push the power till it just won't float?

I've got it at 98MHz right now, but with the fan I guess I can push it past 100MHz??

Thanks,

alpha

Only way to find out is to try!

The latest reference drivers take the memory clock to 110 and the core at 100. I have found 115/115 to be stable with a fan on the heatsink.

You may be able to push it up to its limit approx. 120mhz core/memory if you have good cooling. Depends on your luck, usually works above 118+ MHz core/mem. speed.

Back when I used to run a Creative Labs Banshee (hardware revision 3), I could 120/120 by attaching a pentium sized fan to the OEM heatsink, and one to the backside. Some cards were locked at a high of 120mhz, and will not go any higher, so benchmark it after every o/c.
