OK, I made the rookie mistake awhile ago of using Page Builder in Geocities to build my first Web page, and I also didn't make a back-up page to my HD(Doh! hey I didnt know HTML then). Is it possible to move a site out of Geocities? I use Communicator and I think I can bookmark the pages then open them in Composer for editing and uploading elsewhere. Is this possible, or does Geocities have my site by the short curlies?
(Ow...ow..ow..ow..ow) :-)

I just moved my site from Geocities to 50megs.com recently. All you need to do is go into the Geocities file manager, right click on each of your files and "save target as" to a folder on your hard drive. You'll then have a backup copy that you can just upload to your new home. You'll probably have to make a few changes, mine still pointed to some things at Geocities and I went into the HTML and removed them. I don't know how familiar you are with HTML, so make sure you have a backup before you start hacking it apart. Also, for some reason my new server didn't like my files being named *.html and I had to change them to *.htm. No big deal there.

Each page(not just the home page) created in Geocities has the ad-square that is html-embedded by the host, so links will still include it on those pages left on their server. No prob really for small easy sites, but irritating on elaborate themed pages.

Why not just leave them there then link to them from the other site. When you need to edit one move it then.
