I will be installing a new Diamond Max 20 gb
ATA 66, 7200 rpm hard drive. I was told that the best way to transfer my current data from my 2 gb hard drive is to : set the new HD up as the secondary drive and do a complete copy of all files from my old HD.
Then do a C:\sys D: command. Shut down, swithch the primary data ribbon cable,
Reset the master / slave jumpers so the new HD is the master. Reboot and if all is ok, delet all files from the old HD and it will then be my D drive. Will this work ? Is this the best way ? Someone else said that there is a command line that will do all of this for me.
Thanks
