amd 500 at 152F

I just installed a new amd 500 into a new pc100 board, and it shows it is running at 152 degrees, I have a good?? cooler/fan, but no case fan. I will not run the system until I read a post. I looked in amd, but could not find temp setting. running at 100x5. thanks, it seems a little hot. I have grease also

your diag software has got to be telling you porkies try a probe if you can get one 60/150 is quite high

Are you sure it is at 2.2v

alan, you say to pick up a probe, where might I find one. Yes it still shows high. I installed another fan and it has dropped to 143, but it still seems high.

I know you didn't ask me but just trying to be helpful. You can buy a cheap one at Radio Shack.
