Hi Everyone,

My brother collected hundreds of albums from the 60s and 70s. He found out I have a CDRW, so he wants me to save some of his favorite songs on to CDs. Is there a way to do that? Please advise.

You will need to record them somehow.

A low tech way to do this is to connect the headphone jack of the stereo to the mic or line in jack of your comp and record the tracks this way. You can them place these tracks on the CDRs.

Warning This will be very time consuming.

Good Luck,

If you have a sound card with a set of RCA inputs just plug the Record player into them. Or from the sound card to the stereo line out.Radio Shack has a adapter that will convert the RCA's to a 1/8" plug.
I am going to do the same thing one day. What I am going to do is record the records then burn them as mp3's.
It will take allot of time to do this.

I don't think I will do all of them. Only some of the rare ones that have songs that you can't find anywhere else. I hate to even play the rare ones also.

Does anyboby have " Shine on Brightly" by the Procal Harum. Mine got ripped off at a party
and it's been discontinued and the record stores can't get it anymore http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif. One of my favorites!!

Yo Ed bro, everythings getting all colored up. The colors are soo vivid. All the lights and colors. Wow dude!

I was listening to Pat Travers' snortin' whiskey and drinkin' cocaine the other day....

What album is your song on, I'll check my archives. Guess you remember Uriah Heep, huh? Whoa there boy, easy ... we're showin' someone's age here!

Are there any used record stores near you? I've picked up ssoooo many oldies like that. Used to live in Montgomery County MD, and there were so many stores like that...

OW! Rock On! MadMan!
