I am new to the wonderful world of overclocking although I did do it on my Ti-86 calculator(thats a whole nother story)
I have an Aptiva E 85 and I have read the documantation over and over I can t find anywhere about the locations of jumpers can i avoid this problem?

You probably aren't missing anything. Most motherboards from the "big" names aren't particularly o/c friendly. Afterall, they want you to buy a whole new system to get better performance!!
