Okay! I'll admit I'm a novice at building my own computer, but I can read, and have been checking out a lot of specs and looking in on different forums.
I've decided to go with the new Tyan Trinity 400 Mobo. Rather than gather all the components from around the globe, I'm looking for a company that will put together a bare bones system for me using this mobo. I don't want to go with the new kid on the block cpu's(too expensive), but I want to upgrade when the price of these cpu's get into this Peons price range.
I've gotten excellent advice from people on this site before, so lets have some of your best selections. They will be most appreciated.
I want Win98 2nd edition, not the upgrade version, on CD. What would be the difference between the oem version and the off the store shelf version. I know it's a difference of over a hundred bucks, but what else? Lay your wisdom on me Guys.

I can't help you on this first quetions, but the cheapest I've seen Win 98 2nd Edtn. full version is available form P C Zone at
1-800-419-9663 order # 616931 cost $169.97. I saw this same software at Comp USA today for $199.95 plus $14.00 tax. I think both are a rip off. If you have Win98 you can get the upgrade from Microsoft for $19.95 plus $5.95 shipping.. Good luck

If you have a copy of win95 or win98 or even 3.1 now you would be better off going with the upgrade as they are the same from what I understand.
