heat and voltage

just for kicks i took my cpu to stack settings...4x100 and 2.2v...and the strange thing is that it is no more than 1 degree cooler at regular use than it was at 2.7 or 2.8 volts...why is that?? it does make a diff when playing counter strike....at the higher voltage settings it would get up to as high as 55C...now it gets no higher than 50C....it would seem that i should see a 5 degree diff at the idle temp as well as peak temp...

Maybe you don't see much heat increase at regular running because nothing is working hard. Probably playing a game is when the processor starts to suck the juice, so you see kindof an exponential heat curve?
Wow, that sounds really scientific. LOL Just an idea
