High everyone. I'm currently using IE5 to interact with this forum. Has anyone else been noticing the alaming number of double posting going on especially in the General Discussion area? Are that many people just unaware that hitting back reposts, or is something messed with UBB?

yeah, i've noticed the same thing.
if your ISP, or the board, is being sluggish, clear the fields before hitting "back", and you should be able to avoid double posts.

I'ts not IE5. I'm getting in through AOHELL with IE4 and getting the same double post thing every time I come to the boards. Once you read the message and come back the next day all is well, so I tend to think it's a problem on sysopt's end or with the UBB code. Exactly what that problem is and how to solve it is Scott's concern....
Scott, you listening??? ;-)
I'm using AOL and IE5 and having the same problems. Just ignore it I guess...
Oops! On my first reply here, I hit "back"! Only I so far don't see a duplicate post.... BTW, this is a VERY much nicer bulletin board than any other I've seen on the web yet!! I hate having to wait for an entire page to load for EACH post in a topic.

I don't know what is going on here, but doesn't seem to be what is being mentioned.
I generally haven't allowed my browser to redirect foward after posting. I have used the back button consistently right on through to the topics page. I have not seen any of my post come through "double".
I have Win95 (stone cold original-no service packs)with appropriate hardware driver updates and IE4 (service pack 2).
I must have something checked off differently for my IE settings.
It's a long list of options to compare.....
Anyone care to persue this?
For one thing, we're talking about IE5, not IE4. I rarely use the "back" button when visiting this site. I just open up the messages in a new window. sometimes (usually) when I open one of the forums, some of the posts appear twice. This happens when I'm using my actual IE5, or when I'm using AOL's integrated version. I wouldn't worry about it. It's a minor annoyance at best.
