2 Things in life to look out for:
1. Women
2. Phone bills
Both will take most of your money. This isn't a useless post, it is just my way of saying why I won't be online very much in the immediate future. I've found the girl I want, and want to keep her. Unfortunately, finances dont allow much of either at the same time, so one has to go.
Unfortunately, I know exactly which one has to go for the time being http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif .
I will do my best to keep up with you guys, but it will only be whilst I am at work.
All of you, look after yourself and keep that warm friendly atmosphere going!
rich,
why not just cut back? we need you at rom2!

Rich: If you get a business phone account, it's as cheap as a residential and for about the same price you can get unlimited phone conection for a set price. Unless, of course,
you have to dail in long distance. I have a friend out in the country and the long distance charge eats him up. Get her a palm pilot that internet access and she can keep tabs on you when ya'll are not together http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
to be young and in love*****
best of luck,

Unfortunately, she lives about 210 miles away right now and it's not so much the money that is a problem. She has a lot going on right now and I feel I owe it to her to do whatever I can.
The phone bill is a problem, but it is fairly easily resolved. What I need to do now is get more overtiem in and hopefully get something sorted out. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Rich, I hope it works out for you.. for both of you. We do expect you to pop in here when you can, you know http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
Meanwhile, see if you can't find something like http://www.dialpad.com/ that you can use in the UK. I know the online rates there are killers.
Best wishes and luck with your girl. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I met her on the computer.......
Trust me, if I dont get rid of the phone I won't do any overtime, I will come here and chat to her and keep watch at sysopt.
I really need to get the overtime in. I really feel like I need to reach out and grab this with both hands.
Sorry http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
those of you who have an idea of what I'm getting at can maybe shed soem more light on the matter, I just can't put it into words.

Rich, I know what you are going through, got my phone bill yesterday and it is 420 bucks for last month..... *WAY TOO MUCH TIME ON THE PHONE*
and she is over 1300 miles from here....
Unfortuneately my ADSL modem does not like dial-pad (have an email into the manufacturer as one of the ports dial pad wants to use is not open)
so till then it is the phone for me.
Good luck Rich.

Funny how so many people have been in the same situation. At one time I had a fiancée that lived in Hawaii. I was in CA. That equaled about $375 in phone bills per month, for a few months.
Of course, now-a-days, you can both just get a cable/dsl account for under $50/mo and be able to talk to and SEE each other for MUCH less money.
Good luck.

... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif ..you'll be back... we all love you more than she does... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif -sniff!
good choice rich!
NB: If your telco is BT, add your ISPs number to your Friends and Family list (or even Best Friend!). It sounds really sad, but this will save you 10%-20% on that particular number. Worth doing even if you are cutting back...
Also consider changing to a cable company if there is one in your area, their rates can work out considerably cheaper.
