On my ABIT BE6-2 I am having a problem...
My BIOS says that my CPU is running at idle at around 56-58 C. I thought that this was extremely high. (300A runnning at 300 right now)So I grabbed the thermal cable that comes with the mobo and placed it under the fan against the CPU. If I use the HWDoctor utility under windows, the CPU temp still reads as it does in the Bios, but the Sys 2 temp reads -29 C (which i assume to mean 29C). Does this mean that the temperature sensor that is built into the mobo is way off? Or is the thermal cable wrong?
BTW when the system is running at 450 Mhz, the temp gets into the upper 60s Celsius, which is what alerted me to the problem in the first place.
I have run the system at 504 on the old mobo with no problems, now it is unstable no matter what i do.
Please help!
