System boots fine running at 66 MHz FSB (7.5 multiplier). We currently have a celeron 500. When we run it to 100 MHz FSb and lower the multiplier to 5 the system hangs before the video header comes up. We are using 100 MHz mem. and have AGP set to 2/3 when we up to 100 FSB (viper 770 ultra). We are using an Asus slotkey and have the voltage set at 2.0

Also we flashed the latest BIOS on the MB that did not fix the problem.

Any ideas?
I posted on the MB forum and they said I might get help here.

The multiplier on this chip should be locked at the 7.5. Are you sure your really changing it. If you set the fsb to 100, then you are actually trying to run it at 750 mhz. Try to set the fsb to 75 and see what happens. If you have a good heat sink and fan it should boot up at 562. If it boots up then try the 83mhz fsb. WATCH you cpu temp thou, try to keep it under 40c.

Thanks ... I didn't know they were locked at 7.5 I have a GlobalWin cooler so I might try 83 (after 75 of course).
