skywalker[TSG], I hope your luck starts improving. The only this I've toasted in the past year was a cheap 33.6 modem in one system, an outdated 17 inch monitor on another , and a cheap k6-2 300 in one of mine. Guess I'm doing better than I thought.

Wow you fried all that stuff gee you must have some sort of voodoo curse on you. I have overclock many thing nothing fried yet.

Did you have proper cooling?
My rule is if something goes werid after you overclock set it back to normal and try to figure out whats the problem.

Do you make sure to unplug cord and ground yourself before you go messing inside your comp?

Wowsas I fried a 50$ amd k62 because I was stupid and gave it 3.1 volts, just to see if I could load winbloze at 600...

What the hell were you doing here? How much voltage did you give the coppermine? You didnt give it more then 1.9 did you?

I have never heard of such a tragic OCing history,I feel for you man.

I've fried a few things but only one was related to overclocking...

p233mmx gave it 3.5V in an attempt to get it to run higher, heheeh would still run rc5 in dos at 233 with some coaxing, then 200 then 166 then 150 then 133 still have it and it runs @ 120 but it crashes now and again so i retired it...

I have a friend who can be called "hardware maniac".... Lets talk about things he hadn't fried/burned/whatever... there isn't anything. There are several power-supplies, harddrives, motherboards, monitors.... like hardware graveyard. Right now he is working out a water-cooler project. I hope he is not going to burn down his house

Dude... I've only oc'd one thing, I went up slow, crashed my os, now have a 450@558.

Seems to me with things like a 500 at750 you just didn't know when to quit, went up to fast or something.... don't give up! Just play it smart, go slow, if you need to (i do, but i don't http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif) get some cooling or somethin!

But don't be a little pansy and just cause you lose a few k on frying some REALLY nice stuff give up! Wait a sec.. wut am I saying? If i fried anything I'd give up! Never mind, continue on!
