Dear reader,

I am about to upgrade my processor an (Intel P233mmx) to a new AMD K62-400. I have a heatsink and fan on my 233 at the moment, what sort I do not know. I would like to know if it is likely to be suitable for cooling the new 400?

Help much appreciated.

The fan should work just fine,what mother board do you have?Some older MB's wont recognize higher mhz chips like the k6 400.

it should work but just barely if you really want to keep that chip cool spend the extra $ and get a Alpha PAL 6035 with a Y-tech fan.
