You can get thermal epoxy but it is as good as permanent http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif and would void any warranty.

The normal no peg type sticks on with just thermal tape.
Thermal tape sticks on rather well if wipe the chip down with rubbing achohol and let it dry for about half an hour, then press down without getting any air trapped...provided the HSF isnt too heavy
The Tenmaxx is a 40x40x10mm square, and a pretty solid aluminum peice except for the fan in the middle thats about 30mm in diameter to give you an idea of how much it weighs...If i were at a store and took a look at it, i defeintly would not have spent 20 bucks on it...its extremely small. If you have the peg holes, then its a real good deal, because it has a superb retention mechanism. Otherwise, i would have to advise against getting it.

If your chipset still has the sink on it, you can just screw on a 486 or pentium fan onto it.

What I have here is a delema. I want to put a good heatsink and fan combo on my TNT2 card. Now I have a bunch of good heatsinks on some old 386's and 486's that I would like to put on them. What my question is--> I can't fix them to the chip other than thermal tape that I know of. Is there a better way? Thermal paste doesn't stick very well. I need it to stay without a clip.
TIA,
BC
P.S. if you have any links that have 3m or other good thermal tape please put them here for me http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

What I did is bend two of the heatsink prongs together on each corner of my Viper until they almost touch(2mm), then installed a 486 fan on the heatsink with 4 screws. It holds nicely, but the PCI slot next door may be unusable depending on card. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Are you saying your TNT2 didnt come with a heatsink?
