I read the "FLAME" post and it reminded me of a true story:
This fellow I used to work with stepped into the owner's office and went ballistic! This guy was intelligent and usually quiet/meek (if gullible), but this day he was really put out. The owner couldn't figure out what had this guy so hopping mad, so he asked some questions.
Ya' see, the owner had this habit of finding articles, tech data, memos and scribbling "FYI" on them before he would put them in our baskets. It just so happened that a few years prior, at another company, this guy asked some of his co-workers what "FYI" stood for and they thought the'd have some fun with him. They said it stood for "F*** You Idiot". He bought it, hook line and sinker...for the next several years.
So, for the 1.5 years he had been working for our company, he thought he was doing a good job (and he was). He was working extra-hard to make his employer happy. So the poor guy just couldn't figure out why his boss was giving him notes with "F*** You Idiot" on a daily basis. It finally pushed him over the edge and he decided to have a "knockdown-dragout". I still ROFLMAO when I think about it!
