My 450AFX @ any speed (450-500-504-550-560) will work great exept one thing! Seti! no matter what I do, what temp it has when I run seti it'll give me a BSOD and/or reboot. I take the 450 off and put the 200MMX @ 2.5x112 (280) and seti runs great! Go figure...

Hey all! Well It will load windows with no errors, it will run sandra's tests, but when you go to do any 3ding(q3 UT) it poops out http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif . Do you think heat is the culprit? In the bios is says only 110°F... The board wont go above 2.5v so its a AMD K6-2 450(afx I think I know its the 2.2v) o/c @ 525(5x105) with 2.5v and still no stability. Also, my heatsink/fan combo only does 8cfm of airflow, is there better?
What kinda of Athlon Board would you recommend, I'm about a week from purchasing a Athlon but I want to do it right, unlike last time with this cheap PC-Chips board that wont do 525@2.5v...
Thanks in advance for any and all help!!

I,ve got the same chip as yours at 525 but it needs 2.7v. It runs windows fine at 550 but gets funny when I play games. I reckon with better cooling you might just do it so get a real big heatsink and fan and you never know. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
