Mouse gone. Nothing will open..Help!!

I have a BH6 and cel 300a at 375, a Rage Fury 32mb,96 mb of pc 100 ram,17" KDS monitor, very stable since I put the system together 8 months ago. I am using Win 98 ver 4.10 I was working on a word doc and suddenly my display rez went from 720 x 1024 to 480 x 640 , my mouse dissappeared and Word 6.0 froze up. I rebooted and the same thing. I could change the rez setting but on reboot the basic rez was back. The mouse was yellow flagged in the device mgr. but said no conflict. I removed the device and windows reloaded it on reboot. But it was not there on reboot( yellow flagged )I do have the mouse in safe mode. But I can't seem to change anything. Also no apps will open, I get illegal operation flags no matter what I try to open. The worst thing is I can't seem to uninstall windows. When I try to run set up I get " cannot load ... library files" And I can't find my un install option anywhere. I have run a defrag and a scan disk and all seems to be fine. Maybe a virus ? can anyone help ?

Sounds like a virus.
I assume you got no anti-virus prog.
Is this the same system your using now?

Hi Dave,
I tried a Scandisk program and F prot from dos and I get the same message " not enough memory to run program " Funny eh ?
