how to convert mouse pointer files to gif or jpg?

I am having a hard time finding a utility to convert mouse pointer images (like a pointing hand or whatever) into a .gif or a
.jpg file. I tried using Microangelo but to no avail. can anyone suggust a way to do this?

Hello,

Suggestion: Use Paint Shop Pro and its capture option and you will be able to capture any part of the window including the cursor.
After that you can isolate the mouse pointer and save that as a picture or whatever.
