It was my RAM. PC-100 RAM with the second set of 3 numbers on the label are 322, not the preferred 222, but it does handle 124 FSB without any trouble.

One other question. More of a guess on your part though. On my mobo there are jumpers to set the FSB to 66,100,133, then in the BIOS I can tweak it a little further. Highest FSB/PCI I can go with the jumper set to 100 is 124/41. Lowest setting with the jumper set to 133 is 124/31. My question is this: Do you think when I have the jumper set to 133 it sets the AGP divider to 1/2, or do you think it stays at 2/3? I have reason to believe that it puts it to 1/2, in that, when I have the jumper at 100 and the FSB/PCI at 124/41, things get screwy, but when I put it at 133 w/124/31 everything works absolutely fine.

I've tried to ask the manufacturer of the mobo, but haven't gotten an answer back yet and there's nothing in the BIOS or the the manual about it, and no settings for it anywhere, so if it does it would have to be automatic, right? Is there an application somewhere that will tell me what my AGP bus is set to?

Run it at the 133mhz FSB, if you're system will take it, and run sandra to check the AGP speed.

Where can I get my grimy little paws on a copy of Sandra?

the reason things get screwy for you is probably becuase your pci speed is set to 41 which is quite high... when you set is to 124 / 31 that is much closer to the pci standard of 33Mhz...

I know that. I was wondering if any of you could take an educated guess if setting the FSB jumper to 133 as opposed to 100 would change the AGP multiplyer or if it would stay at 2/3

Maybe we could help with your questions if you told us what the hell kind of motherboard you have for example no BX chipset has a 1/2 agp divisor but the i8x0 does as well a some of the VIA chipsets...

Nevermind. Sandra answered my questions. I have a Superpower 6XV-133. And the AGP divider is 1/2 when I put the jumper on 133.

What AGP card do you run??????

My AGP card is supposed to be an ATI Xpert 128 (oem), but when I installed it the computer detected it as an ATI Rage 128 Xpert 2000, but it does only have 16MB of RAM so I'm leaning towards the Xpert 128.
