I have managed ot get rid of my PII 450 and in the market to buy a PIII. I can afford about PIII 500 but which motherboard would be suitable for over clocking?? My present supermicro is pathetic at overclocking.
I have the following devices.
10.2 GB Maxtor HD
ATI rage Fury.
128 Mb PC 100.
Thanks in advance for your help.

teapot: Take a look at the ABIT PIII line. Depending on what you're looking for, quite a few good mobos for around $100. Why'd you unload that PII 450, not much of a step up to a PIII 500? Don't get me wrong, I've got a PIII 500 and I like it a lot. Mine is OC to 573. There are other improvements you could make to get rid of some of those bottlenecks.

Thanks I will look for the abit, any in particular?? Or is it just personal preference?
I got rid of the PII 450 because someone offered me the price of a new PIII 450 so i thought at worst I'd get a PIII 450 and at best put a £££ in and get a PIII 500.
