Santa Claus brought me a BE6II (overclockers dream) expecting that my PII 300 SL2W8 would run at 450 MHz as stated in many forums with a 90% rate of success. Unfortunately I cannot manage to get this working. System setup: HDD IBM DJNA 352030 at Ultra DMA66 mode, Creative TNT2U, Guillemot Fortissimo Sound, 128 MEG (1x66 + 2x32 modules)SDRAM Hyundai 10B-TC10 (PC66 rated) CD-ROM Afree 50x as IDE1 master and W98. It works fine at 66 and 75 MHz FSB but from 83 MHz on no chance to POST (black screen hang up). After re-boot with default Bios setting appears the message: "CPU is unworkable or has been changed, please recheck Soft Menu III Setup".OK Memory is no PC-100 version, but my old A-Trend LX mainboard was running well at 83 MHz (the max. speed) with the same CPU and SDRAM.I checked everything, flashed the bios, installed the latest drivers, without success. ABIT helpdesk gave stupid answers. What to do?
