Anyone had to deal with these people? They did a drive by(that is what I call it) delivery of my replacement HD today! And all they can ask is if the driver left a note on my door! THe driver claims to have been to my apt,HA! I could have every thing reinstalled by now! I wacthed the guy drive by and even tried to catch him!
Sorry just had to rant!I am just a little P$$EDOFF! It was supposed to be here yesterday also!

That really Bites! I would make sure to convey to the drivers supervisor that you WATCHED the driver drive right passed your apartment and that the driver NEVER got out of their van to even leave you a note on the door. (just make sure to check to see if they didnt leave a note while you were in the bathroom or such http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif as they will only wait at the door for like 10 sec's!) I know this from experiance too http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Has happened over the years with ALL of the delivery services.

They carried my package around on a truck for two weeks trying to deliver it in the wrong city. They argue with you on the phone when they are totally wrong. They told me flat out they do not guaranty delivery so it's a **** shoot that you get your stuff at all.

Well I spoke to a third person after the second hung up on me. I guess he did not like to be told what to do. As I told him I will get it tonight in way more words than neccasary.I also told him I thought the driver should at least bring it to me in his own car on the way home. The least this incompentant imibcle could do!
The third person was very nice and even said I just heard them talking about this. She said I could either wait till tommorow(Like I want to not get it again tommorow!)
or pick it up tonight. Battery is dead in the wifes car so I have to wait till the morning(she has mine)! Asked her about getting reimbersed or a credit or something like that and Bafeled her I think. So I told her the whole story being very polite and telling her what a inadiquit imbicle the driver was and how he did his drive by delivary. How I tried to chase him down in a pair of shorts and no shirt while it snowing. Also told her I drove a service truck for an electrical contractor for ten years and never failed to find an address in Miami(Coral Gables if really screwed up).I think she found it funny. I could just hear her trying to hold it in.
Anyhow I will speak to the drivers supervisor in the morning and tell him what I think about the inadaquit job this imbicile is doing and how he lied about the note. OH he claims to have left a note also! Also I will speak to the suppervisor of the person that hung up on me.They are just going to love to see me first thing in the morning.I will be sure to FUBAR their day if they are the least bit rude to me.
After dealing with customers who have custom $1,000,000+ homes and bussiness for 15 years I am very well spoken (Just can't spell worth a dam!)and know how to deal with people such as this.

Again sorry just had to get this out.
MTNSNOW,
No note I have no idea how people deal with this on a daily basis.I just hope for everyone sake they don't pi$$ me off in the morning. God help them cause I will be irrate!

dkozloski,
UPS did something like that to us once.

BTW I can be a very arogent and persistent person and most of the time correct problems such as these the way I feel is apropriate. As if you could not tell.

Are you positive it was even on his truck? I've been expecting deliveries in the past and happen to see a UPS or Fedex truck drive by and not stop, and think, "you *******!".. But then it ends up coming later on a different truck http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif.

Well Scott the time they give me that the driver left(there was no note) the note on my door is the same as the time I saw this truck drive by. Give or take 10 mins.
And my wife called 10 mins after I tried to catch the truck and they said the same thing that you just mentioned. So we just blew it off at the time, figuring they may be right. I guess she should have made them get in touch with the driver to be sure.

EDIT There was no note!

I don't know.. I still say with UPS's rate of damaging the packages they deliver, its the worst.

With little experience with Airborne, I'll comment on ups, If you put it in UPS, it gets there. Last year I recd over 5,600 packages and we didn't have to trace any UPS. FED/EXP is almost as good, almost, had to check on a couple.. ALL freight companies bang up freight, if ya don't package it properly, it'll get broke, BOTTOM LINE. Take me to your leader.
