I have an PIII 450 running on a Intel CC820 Motherboard. The Bios only has two jumper settings and I am lost as to how to overclock it, all the jumpers allow me to do is go into maintenance..if I want to go to the bus speeds it won't let me...what's worse is that it's there on the screen begging for an overclock!....everywhere I look on the net I am fed the same info...Increase the bus speed....I WOULD LOVE TOO!!!

The BIOS will not let me make any changes to the speed and I may as well go and buy another board ...if so any suggestions?

I kinda hate to break it to you....but intel boards in general do not allow to manipulate your FSB settings. And with the locked multipliers on the PIII, you're pretty much hosed.

Look at other boards, but don't expect them to necessarily fit into your case either, espcially if you have some proprietary brand like Dell, Compaq, etc..

I personally like the ABIT boards for the PIII.... They're very stable, have lots of options that allow you to manipulate FSB, PCI, AGP, etc...and the Softbios rocks for ease of setup. Personally used both the Abit BH6 and the BX6 revision II. Certainly there are a lot of other very good ones out on the market too. Take a look and see what you think will work best for what you want to setup.
