Tony Serge 01-27-2000, 05:25 PM One way is to hit "PrintScreen" button in Windows... go to MS Paint and paste it as BMP file. You can convert it to other format with other pic viewing utilities such as IView.. search for it on winfiles.com jadinolf 01-27-2000, 05:25 PM I use HyperSnap DX Pro. Take a look at it: http://www.hyperionics.com/ OuTpaTienT 01-27-2000, 05:26 PM I don't know a good utility for screen shots, so maybe someone else can provide that info. But I'm curious about what you're trying to take shots of? 99% of the time you don't need a screen shot utility. Just hit [print screen] and then [paste] in any paint-type program. Piece of cake. OuTpaTienT 01-27-2000, 05:27 PM Geeez, you guys are fast. tonym 01-27-2000, 05:31 PM Thanks! That "Print Screen" and "Paste" thang works just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tony alien_from_io 01-27-2000, 08:43 PM Print Key is the one I like, the big deal bout this type program is on pages that you are prevented from doing the print screen.. Or when you want to grab just a small bit that the select option doesn't work on.. Everyone seems to do just a little different stuff with their puter, so if you don't need a prog,, don't get it. I see a lot of kewl stuff at www.zdnet.com (http://www.zdnet.com) or www.go.com (http://www.go.com) and search for any generic term regarding what you are searching for. The pages at go.com last forever, they go back in order of date of release, some to 97. Take me to your leader. daveleau 01-27-2000, 09:13 PM I use SnapIt32. Great little utility. I use it b/c our imaging software at work won't let us print pictures of our experiments while we are quanitfying them. This works well. Dave Sexcow 01-27-2000, 09:47 PM Here's one I haven't heard anybody mention for a while. If you want to get a copy of just the topmost window, dialog box, whatever, hit Alt+PrintScrn and paste it into paint. Saves the time of having to crop things down and it looks better too... ~edit~ Hypersnap works great too... Andy [This message has been edited by Sexcow (edited 01-27-2000).] SysOpt.com
