I didn't get a response from the SANDRA website, so I'll ask the real experts. SANDRA (diagnostic program) says that my BIOS doesn't support PCI Rev 2.1. But I have MrBios ver 3.44, the latest. I remember my original Dell Bios could read a Rev 2.1 Irq steering table into W95 (not by default). Is that old Bios better than brand-new MrBios? Does it really affect performance? Can I update the PCI Bios without getting a new motherboard? Maybe I could copy the old Dell Irq steering table onto MrBios (probably too ambitious). I have an old V097B51A MB with a Triton FX chipset.

You prob wont see any performance increase from that alone. If it isnt broken, i wouldnt try to fix it.
