I have a Infotel Corp. "Ultra" computer. It uses a Soyo 6KBE LX motherboard, a Vcore (?) PPGA Adapter set at "auto detect--as opposed to over clock--but i tried both), and an Intel Celeron 466 PPGA processor. The porcessor is being detected at 420 mhz. I called teh tech support, they sent me a new PPGA slot1 adapter. Did this twice, three different adpators. I also checked the motherboard dip-switches. They can range from 166mhz up to 333mhz. I tried them ALL. no matter what I set it at, I get 420 mhz. Any advice? I am checkin Soyo's weboage for a bios update now. I think either the motherboard or the processor is bad. Where can I get CPU-ID to make sure this processor is not re-marked?
