My mobo has 1mb onboard cache and can run up to 124mhz FSB. Since the K6-3 is not dependent on the bus speed due to on-chip L2 cache, what are the optimized bus settings? Just experiment, or leave it at 100 where I set it with the K6-2 CPU? (Yes I have PC100 RAM)

Toadman,
Because your L2 is on die running at core speed, you're probably better off to raise the multiplier. The K6-3/450 is'nt a great overclocker, but you should be able to get 475 mhz out of it pretty easily going 5 x 95. I did'nt have to raise the voltage on mine and it was stable. I could'nt get the 112 or 124 bus speeds to work and 5 x 100 even with increased voltage would'nt work. I've currently got it back to default to try and resolve some vid card issues. Bottom line...experiment!

As usual, you are the man M1! /forum/smile.gif
I'll try that 5 X 95 setting after I let it burn in about a week. Thanks!
