I have a user who has a 200 page document in Word that she needs to use the Find/Replace option on. When she does it (and she did it correctly when I was there) the text that she wants replaced isn't actually replaced. Instead the font color for the found text is changed to red and a strike-through is added and then the text that is supposed to replace it is placed next to the now red, striked-through text. I can't figure out why this is happening. Oh yeah, I copied the data from page one to another blank page and the find/replace worked fine. Could this mean that the 200 page document is corrupted somehow but copying it over will fix the problem? Any help would be great.

When you have that document open in Word, check to see if the Revision marks are turned on. This is something that is document-specific, so while they may be set in one document to do one thing, it will work fine in a new document.
