I'm going to lap today but the articles I have read only used 600 gritt paper. Anyone know what els to use.

I lapped my K6-3 450..runs now with pc133 @ 525. Start with 300, 400, 600, 1000, 1200 and maybe 1500. ROTATE THE CHIP EVERY MINUTE OR SO. This will prevent bebveling of the chip. If done carefully...this is a worthwhile projuect as you can see by my results. Rinse the cpu off before moving to the next grade of paper in rubbing alcohol. This removes the aluminum residue.
