I was just wondering if anyone out there has killed their K6III at this voltage or for that matter any high voltage. Just curious?

Just curious? scotter 10-31-1999, 05:44 PM well I've had mine to 3.1 volts for 2 weeks and it still runs /forum/smile.gifit's back down to 2,6 voltnow . I have heard of some being fryed buy v-core volts over 3.0v the main thing is how cool the chip is at that voltage run your like that for a few days running apps that keep your cpu under 100% load for as much of that time asposable then try to bring it back down at 500mhz it should run at 2.6 volts good luck /forum/smile.gif lght1 10-31-1999, 06:20 PM I have a K6-450 @ 500, 2.8vcore, Alpha YTech 27cfm fan, Silver paste, 80mm case fan blowing onto Alpha's side..to make it stable. Both Alpha and chip was lapped..300..400..600..1000...1200. Lapping works..temps are between 18C and 30C..right after flight sim..=) Cooling is everything. SysOpt.com
