I won't pay for the 500 but I hear about all these 333's clocking better then the 433's and 466's so what one will clock further? I gotta hit 1100 atleast. feedback needed
thanks

your best bet is to get 2 366's and clock them to 550mhz apiece and there you go...

first thing is system that use and support two processors DONT add the processors performance in mhz together...
the SECOND processor is for "releaving the load" off the first when HIGH central processing is conserned. with cad programs, etc with windows nt and 2000.

not to be smartassed or anything /forum/smile.gif just though id let ya know

Yes I know that you don't add the processors but I like to say 1100 /forum/smile.gif
Okay so is the if 366 does 550 then will the 466 do 625 650? Thats what I would love to get 650 would be GREAT! Or even 600. Can I do that with a 433 or a 466?
I am planning on using a pelter and alowing for birn in time.
Thanks

He is right with dual CPU's you need an OS that can handle it. Win 9x won't but NT will

I know I do. But can anyone help me with the....366 does 550 then will the 466 do 625 650....Question from the post above?

I'll answer that - NO. You are not anywhere near likely to hit 600 or 650 with those chips.

So should I just get the 433's or 466's and clock those babies to their max?

For full performance, you need both an OS and program that support multi-processors. You can however, get extra power by doing something like, say, run everything on the first CPU and then start quake 3 on the second one.

I know about the software aspect of it. I am much more interested in which procesor is recommened for best bang for the buck! Will pay for the 433 or 466 if thats what I should get which is what I am leanin towards
Thanks,

dave

just because a 366 will do 550 doesnt mean a 466 will do 650. The 366 is one of the best overclocking celerons on the market today. as you probably know the chips are multiplier locked, so a 366 is 5.5 mult, a 400 is 6 mult etc. The 366 works nicely at 550 because this is at 100fsb which puts all of your other components in spec. I have a celeron 400 that has really good cooling and will do 500 at 1.95 rock stable, but it will not do 600 even at 2.3 v. My suggestion is to get 366's. If you want to spend the extra money go for the pretested ones. There are lots of people out there selling a bp6 with two 366's oc'd to 550 combos.

They have overclocked an Athlon 700 to 900mhz!! Check out the cooling system, kind of bulky. They also are starting production on a 1 Ghz Athlon, talk about heat dissappation
