I've read some places that week 35's on cel366 have a good chance of hitting 550. also I've read that cel400 hit 600mhz 10-15% of the time. not a great success rate but wondering if anybody got a cel400@600 and if so what week s code.

I heard that any C366 over week 25 have a good shot at hitting 550 MHz.

I have a week 27 and a week 28 that both run at 573 MHz @ 2.2 volts using Linux.

My celeron 40 runs only 2 minutes @600. Maybe I need an Alpha or a Peltier. Other problem is that the normal temp here in Brazil is 34 o. Celsius.

I have a Celeron 366 Slot1. I can't get it to go to 550. I've tried everything. The PPGA's are the ones that seem to like 550. Check out this link. Do option 1. You'll see my post on there under the 366 celeron section. (I'm the II person) http://www.agnhardware.com/index.cfm?article=/html/agnhw-reviews.cfm

motta you gotta try something else to get it to stay at 600 seems like you're awfully close. yeah try peltier or maybe moving to the south pole(it's not too far from brazil /forum/smile.gif)

I bought a Celeron 400 week 36 about a month
ago. I lapped it down to the copper before
I even put it in. I put it in and it ran
at 600 at 2.2 volts right away, however
it would not stay stable at temperatures
above 29 deg celcius on the thermister. So
in hot weather it was not stable. Since then
I was able to reduce to 2.0 volts. I then
bought Toms Peltier from Overclockers.com and
everything is fine now. It does not run cold
enough for condensation, and not warm
enough for problems. Temp as I speak is
18 deg celcius. But, you cannot run any
cpu idling programs or the chip will get
REAL cold and you might have condensation.
My system is a BX6 Ver 2, Msi slot key,
and of course Celeron 400 weak 36. Also,
I want to say that he chip did run at
600 most of the time before the peltier.
But, now it runs all of the time.

PPGA processors overclock better, they produce less heat, and if you modify a slotkit correctly, you can atach a slot 1 heatsink to one for lots fo cooling.

thx for the info I'll give it a try with either the iwill sloket or abit sloket since they are the only ones offered at the shop near me.
