Ok, I got one of those old 300mhz PIIs that is only sub-locked, it lowers, but will not raise in speed. I just ripped apart the case, modified the huge heatsink it had on it (it was orriginaly in a gateway 2000 machine, with one of those huge passive-cool heatsinks). I added 3 50mm fans, and I am testing it out now, does 337, 300 at 100x3, I am gona try for 350 next.

awesome is it an sl2w8. I think those things do 450 no problem. some I think week 41 or so go 500/515 default voltage.

The SL2W8 has the Deschutes core while the one KBug has have the old Katmai core with slow cache chips and will thus never reach 450 or above.

He is right, it did do 350 from windows perfectly stable with my joak of a heatsink setup, but my hard drive would not go from a boot.
