here is the cheap solution for overclockers who has problems with temp. I got peltier for like 26$. Had to spend additional 20$ on huge fan, but it's all worth it.
If anyone is inrested in peltier for $26 including shiping here is the link to that site: http://www.tedist.com/
The peltier that I got is FROST-74, make sure you get a potted peltier, they have potted and not potted modules. Potted are only $2 more. YOu'll ask me is it worth spending $26 on peltier? hell yeh. My CPU would not overclock without it. After I installed peltier. BOOM. I even lowered my voltage back to default and it is runnign rock stable. When I say rock stable I mean I have my PC running for 2 weeks now without turning it off. And it did not crash even once. CPU that I use is c366. It was tested before and it was not overclockable as they said, so I got it really cheap. I guess they were wrong. hehe. I have it running @550, nothing fancy and i am not braging. All I am trying to get accross here is that peltier is a must if you want to get maximum output from your CPU.
Good luck.

Ok I think I understand now. This peltier goes inbetween the cpu and the heatsink. A question for you is this. Will it work with a slot 1 celeron?
I found a place with pics is this close to what you did?

yes, you have to place peltier between heatsink and processor. And yes it will work with slot1 and ppga. I used standard ppga heatsink and peltier fit there just fine. The size of peltier is 40x40x4mm. All you have to remember is that the cold side of the peltier goes to CPU. /forum/smile.gif I don't know fellas, just get it and use some creativity to install it. Like I said earlier it got me to my 550 mark. My mobo supports only 100mhz overwise I would be pushing it a lot further. I would be glad to walk you thru the installation process. I just need more specific questions.
Thanks, Ilya.

You don't have any condensation problems with this unit?
Also the power does it run off of the power supply in the case or does this one use an external power source? If it runs from the power supply does it drain off too much of the power?
Thanks too by the way. I have been looking at trying to boost up my CPU and any future ones this looked like a way to do it but wasn't too sure about it all the problems i heard about condensation.

condensation was a problem when i had CPUidle installed, after I uninstalled it, the problem with condensation was fixed. It kind of freaked me out when I saw drops of water on my CPU, but after it dried out it started just fine. Like I said I got rid of CPUidle and with the constant workload cpu doesn't get cold enougth for condensation to occure.

Peltier is connected to case's power supply. The peltier that I use is 70Watt. The power unit's output is 250Watt. So it handels the 70Wpeltier, cd-rom, burner, zipdrive, a-drive, 2fans, and a HDrive just fine. You can just add up the consumtpion of all your devices and decide for yourself if you will have enougth juice left for peltier or not.

thanks, Ilya
