I know a graphic designer in advertising, and they do this stuff for kicks, mostly to see what they can get past their managers and clients.
Very rarely is it corporate-sponsored. I think a lot of artists were accused of this **** in the 70s and 80s and thought "Hell, let's REALLY put some stuff in there". Guess they're still going strong today http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Huh, What.. oh well, know what? The ole MaxCranium has several brain injuries including dislexia.. I can't see anything in any of those pics,, dagnabbit. Grrrrr.
