Does slocket voltage on MSI 6905 override SoftBIOS voltage??

Thats about it in a nutshell..I have a SY-6BA+III Mobo.

If you set the slotket for 2.3 volts, and the softmenu for 2.0 volts, you get 2.0 volts. The softBios voltage settings are either set to CPU default (which means it looks at the CPU, or slotket settings as it were) or it takes precedence when you move to manual softbios voltage settings.

The softmenu voltage settings are designed to change from the default voltage the CPU in the slot is set for. The slotket changes the default voltage that the motherboard thinks the CPU in the slot is set for. A manual softmenu setting means 'ignore what the slot says the voltage should be'.

The SY-6BA+III works kinda like this...
The manual says that It reads the CPU VID code and does what that specifies. It then allows you to set iut to +2.5%, +5.0%, +7.5% or +10.0%
The slocket allows me to set it from 1.80 to 2.60v
As far as I understand it, on the Soyo, the slocket overides the CPU and then the BIOS just reads the Slotket's Settings with any applicable Percentage increases...did I get this right?

So I set the card for 2.3v and the BIOS to +0.0% to get 2.3v?

Ah, I see. I think you've got it. If you set the slotket to 2.0v and the bios to +10% you get 2.2v and so forth. This is different from the Abit softmenu which just sets the voltage regardless of what the slotket or actual CPU is set for. So how do you like that Soyo so far?

Coupled with the slocket voltage changer, Its got virtually no disadvantage compared to my BH6 or my friends BX6r2.
Still cant break 600 on my 366 with 2.4v, but thats ok since I have a picky harddrive (Maxtor...)
