1. Boot
2. Hit 'del' to enter BIOS
3. Select '!! CPU Soft Menu II !!'
4. Scroll down on 'CPU Select speed until you reach user defined
5. Go two lines down, and select your 'Ext. clock (PCI) speed'
6. Try 100(1/3)--that'll give you a 550 MHZ processor and keep your peripherals at their spec'ed speed.
7. Change AGPCLK/CPUCLK to 2/3
8. Change 'Speed Error Hold' to disabled.
9. Exit and save your BIOS settings.

If it does not work the first time, don't worry, reboot a few times and the system will default back and put the same settings in. but change CPU voltage from default to user defined and edge it up one step at a time until the system boots Win98 stable and you can run all your programs. I would not suggest going above 2.3v, but I have in the past. In the end, if luck is with you will run at 550MHz, if not then try some of the slower bus speeds like 75 and 83 MHZ. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Your stock heat sink and fan should work just fine, if it does not, www.computernerd.com has good heatsinks and fans.
