How high can an athlon 500 mhz be overclocked to without instability? What heatsinks support it and what is the core voltage required? Thanks!

Thanks! lost1 09-10-1999, 02:36 PM Can't help you with the OC info, but for voltage info you can probably check at www.amd.com for the online tech manual for the Athlon. They will even send you a CD with all the tech stuff for free- I got one for the K6 family of CPU's- pretty cool! Good luck! JimS 09-11-1999, 09:10 PM I got my 500 to 600, very stable, no crashes so far. I had to raise the core voltage from 1.6 to 1.7.
