How high can an athlon 500 mhz be overclocked to without instability? What heatsinks support it and what is the core voltage required? Thanks!

Can't help you with the OC info, but for voltage info you can probably check at www.amd.com for the online tech manual for the Athlon. They will even send you a CD with all the tech stuff for free- I got one for the K6 family of CPU's- pretty cool! Good luck!

I got my 500 to 600, very stable, no crashes so far. I had to raise the core voltage from 1.6 to 1.7.

That is great news! Where did you get your Athlon? How did you acomplish the overclock and could you provide some benchmarks?
