I know, I'm kidding about the subject.

But I'm really bent on buying a new computer cart with the following:

-negative tilt monitor shelf that can support a 19" at 50 pounds
-shelf for keyboard (can be slideout or not) that's wide enough to accomodate the mouse right next to it.
-an area to put the computer on, and perhaps strap to. not a cubby hole type deal.
-perhaps an area to put a printer (optional)
-Less than $200?

Anthro.com has some really NICE stuff, but it's so expensive it's mindblowing. I found a cart, configured up with the things I need, and it easily came out over $500.

Here's some examples:
http://store.yahoo.com/ofconcepts/higriscomwit.html (pretty good, almost exactly what I want, I think) http://www.stacksandstacks.com/1buofcom90429.htm (example of really nice monitor tilt, but too small keyboard shelf) http://www.bushfurniture.com/html/computer_27.htm (no monitor tilt, but the keyboard shelf is really nice... hmm http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Suggestions on other manufacturers or places where to buy this stuff online would be much appreciated.

'surfer,

You might want to look at these sites:
www.mobile-tronics.com (http://www.mobile-tronics.com) www.vernlib.com/WScarts.htm (http://www.vernlib.com/WScarts.htm) www.comforthouse.com/comfort/computerdesks.html (http://www.comforthouse.com/comfort/computerdesks.html)

The carts you mentioned aren't that bad, you know! And Anthro, although very expensive, are VERY durable and will easily survive the coming millennium (ya know the *real* millennium in 2001) apocalypse whereas some of the others will collapse under the weight of the frenzied hordes!

Good luck...

I've got a 4' x 8' long conference table I use. It works great.
In order from left to right, I have the scanner, PC, 17" monitor, Printer, and the Wife's computer on it. And all those items are in a row. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Plus a bonus for you Navydood, you can clear the table off and plop down a GE F404 EPE Jet engine and tweak for more thrust. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
