Is there any other speakers out there that I should research.

I recently got that card to and I have to say it is my favorite buy ever. I sold my stereo and hooked up a home theater system to it. Watching DVD's is the best. The only problem is the sound dwarfs the TV I use as my output. If you have the money, and you use you computer for everything (DVD, CD'S, ect.) just buy a home theater system.

I got the SBLmp3+ card, and I upgraded my speakers to the fps2000 which sound awesome. I dont know first hand about your selections but I think the Creative setup would sound good, the speakers are small, but the sound is BIG, I dont feel ripped off http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Biff

Aura I have the dtt 2500 and they are NOT weak. Do they have less wattage than the Kiplisch's....yes. Is anyone going to blast 400 watts into there ears in a typical computer setup, I really hope not http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif. My ears start to hurt tuning my system up a little past half power. Also I know my sound is a lot clearer than the kiplisch at high volume, I get almost 0 hiss when turned up all the way thanks to the digital connection. I hate hiss. Am I biased, you bet! I payed quite a bit fo em! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif The bass was a bit weak to my standards, so I stuck a different unpowered sub on there, ooooooh yeeeeeeah. Note, it has an outpit for powered subs.

Jakson3d, ask yourself these questions:

Am I going to watch DVD's on my computer??
Do I need rear stands?
Do you want to use that Digital Out on your soundcard?

Dtt's

Do I want to fill a large room with music while not at the comp?
Do I love tons of bass?

Kiplisch's

Oh, and about those little speakers. With a keyboard, mousepad, 17" monitor, joystick, printer and flatbed scanner on my desk, I don't have too much room. They sound great! And with the seperate amp, and a sweet velvet like finish on the speakers, I don't feel ripped off at all. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Very Good Points

I really want the DTS to work on all my DVD's I have had a DVD PLayer in my stereo cabinet for almost a year now and I have never heard DTS due to the fact I dont have a decoder. SO I am leaning towards the CL digital Theater. The price is around 220$ that is not that bad.

Keep the comments rolling!!

The Klipsch are BY FAR the best, but they dont support dolby digital. It has 400 watts total (60x4, 120x1 sub), and are some of the most awesome things ive ever seen. The killer is the price, but they are better than most normal stereo systems. This unit is pure sound, no fancy stands, no digital decoder, or anything like that. Ive never heard them before, but in all reviews ive seen, they always receieved 90% of full or better.

The Creative labs 2500DDT is another story. It comes with stands and a dolby digital decoder built in, and has 6 channels instead of 5. However, the sound is a bit weak (dont have the exact numbers, but the whole system probably wieghs in around 150watts?). My friend has these, and they do sound good with DVDs and games and stuff, but the speakers are really small, giving you that ripped-off feeling.

These 2 sound systems are the epitome of speakers right now. I'll wait for Klipsch to add a center channel to the THX 400, and dolby digital, cuz then those things would be really rockin'! Not sure if thatll be anytime soon tho..
