I have this tiny *** fan on my 350 k6-2 and the cpu is running at 59 degrees celsius is this too much? I bought the com from ebay and i think its already been overclocked but it says amd 350 k6-2 on the chip, is it fake?

That does sound a little higher than average, ..what is that for us non-metric folks, about 144*F? In short, you can never have too much cooling.

are you using any software cooling?

Also, have you used any thermal paste between your processor and your heat sink? If not, you need to do so. Go to the main page of sysopt.com and check out the sections there.

http://www.sysopt.com/overc.html

Also, you can use dielectric silicone tune-up grease from wal-mart or k-mart or some mart. Cheaper, and you get like 4 times as much!

Good Luck In All,

DOH! I guess I already asked this, but since I did again, there's no reason to waste a slot, huh?

Also, have you tried rain, waterfall pro or cpuidle software coolers? I usually run cpuidle, and it keeps me i don't know, maybe 10 - 15 degrees feehrenheit cooler than without.

Good Luck In All,

Mike P.
